Abstract

Xun Zi constructed his philosophy based on etiquette.It's not belonging to human nature,but it's not inner morality.Human nature is only to pursue their pleasure but not to labor,as Xun Zi said: When being hungry,they want to eat;being cold,they want to be warm;in the duration of farming,they want to stop;they want to be benefited but not lose anything. Human nature is restricted improperly by benevolence,justice,rite,intelligence.Hence,it's the same as Mencius' view.
