Abstract
The 21st century higher education in art design should go beyond the borrowing and imitating of Western model which has long been dominant in China,explore its own model with characteristics and achieve the localization of higher education in art design.In order to reach this goal,efforts must be made to strengthen the education of traditional culture on one hand and folk fine arts on the other hand.In so doing,China's art design can really become Chinese design.
