Opium Trading and Relevant problems:Review of Opium Trading in Sichuan of the Late Qing Dynasty

In the late Qing dynasty, driving by staggering profits of opium business Sichuanese widely planted opium and the sell and consuming of Sichan's opium are very bloom.Thus the tax on opium trading became the Sichuan government's main financial resource.However the trade and consuming of opium put normal production and living into great danger and defomed the local economical and productive structure,which leads to the economy and society more unmormal.As a result Sichuan became the main province to forbid opium.by the hard work of Sichuan government,opium in Sichuan province was forbidden nearly completely before the extermination of the Qing dynasty,which safeguarded social justice and inevitably affected some farmers' living.
