Differences of blood pressure,blood fat and BMI among different cutoff values of impaired fasting glucose

Objective To analyze differences of blood pressure,blood fat and BMI among different cutoff values of impaired fasting glucose.Methods We totally investigated 1113 subjects from our database for medical examination center.They were divided into 3 groups according to their fasting glucose levels:a normal fasting glucose group(NFG5.6 mmol/L),a group of impared fasting glucose defined with new standard(n-IFG5.6~6.0 mmol/L)and a group of the same indicator defined by previous standard.(o-IFG6.1~6.9 mmol/L).And differences of the blood pressure,blood fat and BMI were analyzed among the groups.Results BMI,SBP,TG,TC,and LDL-C were higher in the group with fasting glucose of 5.6~6.0 mmol/L than that in the group with fasting glucose of 5.6 mmol/L,while HDL-C was lower.But no significant differences were found between the above mentioned groups and the group with fasting glucose of 6.1~6.9 mmol/L.Conclusion With the down regulation of the lower limit of IFG diagnostic standard,morehealthypeople were added into the IFG population(FPG5.6~6.0 mmol/L),and they were found to get more gredients of diabetic syndrome,such as hypertension,hyperlipemia and hyperglycaemia etc.and faced with higher risks of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
