Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of the extract of louicera japonica thunb(LTE) on the releasing of nitrous oxide(NO) from normal and lipopolysaccharide(LPS) induced rat peritoneal macrophages.Methods By serum pharmacological,Griess and 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2thiahiazoy1)-3,5-di-phenyl-tetrazolium bromide(MTT) methods,the content of NO in the rat peritoneal macrophages in the presence or absence of LPS(1 μg/mL) for 24 h was examined.Results The results showed that the containing-serum markedly inhibited the releasing of NO from normal and LPS stimulated rat peritoneal macrophages.Conclusion These results indicated that the LTE containing-serum possess significant fuctions such as anti-inflammatory and immune suppression.
