Abstract
Using propylene glycol and NaOH as the material and on the condition of nitrogen protecting and atmospheric pressure synthesise propylene glycol sodium. At the same time, we study the ratio of material, reaction temperature and reaction time. In the transesterification reaction of synthesis of propylene glycol,we want to to explore the catalytic activity of propylene glycol sodium. The results show that the optimum conditions of synthesizing propylene glycol sodium: the material ratio is 1.4~1.6∶1,the temperature is about 160℃ and the response time is about 4h. In the transesterification reaction of synthesis of propylene glycol, the conversion rate of propylene carbonate is 90.43%~93.69%.
