Abstract

To explore the relationship between infection of Chlamydia trachomatis(CT) in tubal infertility and serum levels of IFN-γ.Chlamydiae trachomatis were detected by fluorogenic quantitative PCR, double-antibody sandwich ELISA was used to study the serum levels of interferon gamma(IFN-γ).The result showwed that 39 cases were positive and 12 cases were negative in CT. The serum levels of IFN-γ(pg/ml) in positive cases were 53.17±17.13, and those in negative cases were 34.57±10.34. There was a significant difference between two kinds of patients(t= 2.36,P0.05) .[Conclusion]It is suggested that the infection of Chlamydia trachomatis is one of the major causes of tubal infertility. The levels of IFN-γ may be helpful to the diagnosis of Chlamydia trachomatis caused tubal infertility.
