Abstract

In order to cut down the chemical oxygen demand of Chlorine-Bleaching Effluent the activated car-bon was used to treat the west water under microwave radiation. With activated carbon mass fraction 1.0g,microwave radiation time 8min,microwave power 800W,the CODCr decrease from 1176mg/L to 50mg·L-1,the removal rate of CODCr is above 95%. The results show that the chemical oxygen demand of Chlorine-Bleaching Effluent can be re-duced effectively and the related mechanism has been discussed.
