Countermeasures to Promote Optimization and Upgrading of Industrial Structure in Southwest Beijing

Industrial structure optimization and upgrading is an important content of the transition of e- conomic development model. At present, there still exist many problems and disadvantages in the course of industrial structure optimization and upgrading in Southwest Beijing, such as the extremely similar path of optimization and upgrading, the lack of independent innovation ability, the coexistence of thebottlenecksthreat and resources waste, the imperfect industrial supporting facilities and so on. Therefore, in order to promote the course as stated above and improve the regional economic develop- ment, the five districts in Southwest Beijing should select appropriate leading industries, give full play to regional predominance and features, perfect regional innovation system, strengthen industrial cooper- ation and infrastructure construction. Meanwhile, seizing the wonderful opportunity of industries trans- ferring from other domestic areas and abroad is way Southwest Beijing should undertake during its in- dustrial structure optimization and upgrading.
