Abstract
[Objective] The research aimed to study the chill-resistant mechanism and material basis of chill-resistant Salvia. [Method]Taking the chill-resistant Salvia and ordinary Salvia as the materials,a field cultivation experiment was conducted,KMn O4 standard solution was measured( CAT) activity,guaiacol method was measured the activity of POD,NBT was measured the activity of SOD,UV spectrophotometry was measured soluble polysaccharide,the differences of morphology,antioxidant enzyme activity in leaves and roots and soluble polysaccharide content of the chill-resistant Salvia and ordinary Salvia were studied,the chill-resistant mechanism and material basis of chill-resistant Salvia were explored. [Result]On the morphology,the leaves of chill-resistant Salvia were dark green and thick,basal leaves were very more and leaves were not wither at 0 ℃,but that of ordinary Salvia were ordinary green,thin and even withered,the basal leaves of ordinary Salvia were fewer than that of chill-resistant Salvia. The enzymes activities of SOD,CAT of chill-resistant Salvia leaves were significantly higher than that of ordinary Salvia,the POD activity was little difference between the two. The POD,CAT activity of chill-resistant Salvia roots were significantly higher than that of ordinary Salvia,while SOD activity was slightly lower than that of ordinary Salvia. The soluble sugar content of chill-resistant Salvia leaves were significantly higher than that of ordinary Salvia.[Conclusion]The study provides the theoretical basis for the cultivation of chill-resistant Salvia.
