We can find from the historical materials mainly in The Hisotry of Song Dynasty: Eunuch that large number of eunuches in Northern Song dynasty took part in most of the important events in the relation between Northern Song and Western Xia dynasty.They played an important role in most of the political aspects and influenced the relation betweent the two countries.They showed some characteristics such as military identification and some eunuches showed a trend of would-be gentry classes.
