Abstract

A rat model of mycoplasmal pneumonia was developed in repeated intranasal infectious routes and then the humoral and cellular immunocompetences were detected.Compared with the normal control group, the levels of serum IgG,IgM and IL-2,IL-6 in the rats with mycoplasma pneumoniae(MP) decreased, the complement C_3 and TNF-α were higher, the ratio of CD~+_4/CD~+_8 decreased significantly, the levels of plasma NO,MDA were higher and GSH-Px was lower. All the results showed that there was an imbalance of cytokine and immunoglobulin in the rats with MP which resulted in depression of a series of cell-immune and humoral-immune response and induction of wide inflammation in lung, which may play an important role in the pathogenesis of MP.
