Abstract
As a most important supporting technology for digital earth, geospatial metadata technology is becoming a vital factor of information system. In this paper, current typical geospatial metadata standards and metadata systems are analyzed and compared synthetically. After that, some thoughts and proposals are given to help make geospatial metadata standard and construct metadata system.
