Abstract
Objective To study the surgery treatment for the dysfunction of neck scar contracture in children. Methods 24 patients aged from 2 years old to 11 years old were undertaken the operation by using local skin flap and skin graft to repair the soft tissue defect after scar section. Results The surgery methods were adopted in 24 cases which neck scar contracture from gradeⅢto grade Ⅳ,After 6 months to 2 years follow up,the appearance and function of neck were excellent except 2 patients whose neck function were low-grade limited and 3 skin grafts were contracture but not serious. Conclusion It was suggested that local flap and skin graft was a better method for repair serious scar contracture deformity of neck in children.
