Countermeasures of the Re-employment of Migrant Workers Returning Home

The international financial crisis has great negative impact on the employment market of migrant workers in China.From September 2008,a large number of migrant workers have returned home early due to unemployment,forming the grim situation that about 20 million migrant workers need jobs.Through literature review and interviews,we conduct a survey on the re-employment of migrant workers,summarize the characteristics of returning migrant workers,and analyze the significance and obstacles of the re-employment of migrant workers returning.This paper also proposes that to properly resolve the issue of migrant workers,we should remove the institutional barriers to the employment of migrant workers,improve the social security system,support and encourage migrant workers to make their home business from the aspects of finance,technology,and training,and increase the competitive power of migrant worker by improving their own quality and change their concept of employment.
