Abstract
To investigate the effects of S100A6 on osteosarcoma cell line 143B,the cells were infected with adenoviruses expressing S100A6 or SiS100A6.Then,Trypan blue staining and MTT assay were used to deter-mine the influence of S100A6 on 143B cell proliferation;Hoechst staining was used to determine cell apoptosis;Transwell assay was used to determine cell transmigration.Furthermore,143B cells infected with adenovirus were injected into the nude mice subcutaneously to study the in vivo effects of S100A6.The results showed that the rates of cell proliferation and migration decreased while the cell apoptosis rates increased in a time-dependent manner in AdS100A6 group compared to the control group. The tumor volume was significantly larger than that of the control group. These results were consistent with the opposite effects of AdSiS100A6 on cell proliferation, apoptosis, and migration. These experiments demonstrated that hS100A6 could not only inhibit cell proliferation and migration but also induce cell apoptosis in human osteosarcoma cell line 143B.Moreover,S100A6 could in-hibit the growth of human osteosarcoma cells in vivo.
