Spatial-Temporal Pattern of Regional Differentiation in Fujian Province

Abstract

Cv and Theil Index,calculated with per capita GDP of all the cities and counties are used to indicate the decrease of regional inequalities of Fujian Province since 1990s in this paper. And by the decomposition of Theil index,it shows that coastal-inland inequality has been intensified and the inter-city inequality lessened. Then it explores the maps with per capita GDP data,and analyzes the involvement of spatial patterns of regional inequalities from 1990 to 2006,and concludes that Fujian's economic development spatial structure has been involved to a core-periphery unit consists of five sub-core-periphery units.
