Abstract
Feminist translation theory has overthrown traditional concepts of translation and push the translator's subjectivity to the foreground.By emphasizing creative treason in the process of translating, feminist translation theory succeeds theoretically in raising the translator's status. In practice, feminist translators make themselves visible by manipulating the original text. However,by putting too much emphasis on the translator's subjectivity, feminist translation theory has ignored the reader.
