Abstract

Well Shaoshen-1 is the key exploration well of Sinopec. In this well, two mud systems were applied, polymer mud in upper part and polysulfonate inhibitive mud in lower part. The result of application showed the mud systems had some characteristics such as good inhibition, excellent stability, simple maintenance, high drilling rate and protecting reservoirs.
