Higher Education Accreditation in the U.S.A.

Accreditation adopted in American higher education has exercised supervision of the society over American universities and colleges, strengthened the coordination among institutions of higher learning, the society and the government, thus guaranteeing the operation of universities and colleges on a generally acknowledged quality basis. There are two different kinds of accreditation: Institutional Accreditation and Program Accreditation. This practice is quite fair and practicable and may be of some help to the development of China's higher education.
