Abstract
It used the method of sports biomechanical measurement to do research on the take-off power of the Chinese male high jump elites. The results reveal that the vertical reactive force born by jumper's take-off lag during the take off can come to 4.89~7.78 times his own body weight,the take-off time is 0.15~0.172 seconds,the value of reactive characteristics of take-off leg's muscles is 35.72~43.61,and correlates positively with the change of vertical velocity value in the process of take off,the strength levels of delayed contraction of muscles activating knee and hip have a great effect on jumper's performance,compared with foreign high jumpers,the high jumpers of our country are weaker in take-off power and some of them are deficient in the technique.
