Abstract

A randomized and positive-drug controlled trial was used to observe the effect of Shengxuening Tablet on 120 cases of iron deficiency Anemia in children, The results showed that in Shengxuening Tablet group, the markedly effective rate and the total effetive rate were 67.8% amd 93. 3% respectively for the iron-deficiency anemia, and 81. 1 % and 98. 9% respectively for the qi-blood deficiency syndrome. The erythrocyte count , hemoglobin content , mean corpuscular volume ( MCV ), mean corpuscular hemoglobin ( MCH ), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration, serum iron, total iron binding capacity and clinical manifestations were improved in both groups, but MCV, MCH, chest fullness and discomfort and dizziness were much improved in Shengxuening Tablet group.
