Abstract
Objective:To analyze the Xi'an class Ⅲ malocclusion vertical craniofacial type composition. Methods:From 2003-2008 in the Department of Orthodontics, the Fourth Military Medical University Dental Hospital, class Ⅲ permanent dentition malocclusion was studied, using computer-assisted cephalometric X technology, respectively.According to the vertical composition, the patients were divided into 3 groups:high-angle group(V1);both angle group(V2);low-angle group(V3).We analysed the class Ⅲ patients with craniofacial morphology in the vertical composition. Results:The dentition in patients with skeletal class III were vertical angle to the principal,or both for high-performance angle, and low angle was very rare.In the early permanent dentition and permanent dentition, both vertical angle(V2) was mainly, and low-angle(V3) and high-angle(V1) were relatively rare. Conclusion:Among class III malocclusion in Xi'an area, vertical craniofacial types in the composition of different ages were different, but in general, both angle was still the principal manifestation at each period.
