Progress Review on Land Sciences Research in 2014 and Prospects for 2015

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to summarize the research progress of land science in 2014 as well as theprospective of land science and topic priorities of China Land Sciences in 2015. Method employed is literature retrieval. The results show that 1) domestic and international publications shared common focuses on land requisition and land property right, monitoring technologies and mechanism of land use, multi-planning integration, land market mechanism and government behavior, agricultural land protection, agricultural land remediation and reclamation of mining areas; 2) domestic studies paid more attention to land system reformation, land use evaluation, urban-rural unified land market, cultivated land improvement, industrial and mining area remediation and so on, while foreign studies paid more attention to historical changes and influence of land use, land use conflicts, land supply strategy, land market-property relationship, cultivated land abandonment and delineation of protection, land development and protection, landscape patternof land remediation. It is concluded that four themes will be the topic priorities of China Land Sciences in 2015, namely 1) to strengthen the construction of legal system of land resources; 2) to carry out studies on unified urban- rural land market and institution; 3) to accelerate the innovation of new technology; and 4) academic development of land science itself.
