Moral punishment as an unenforceable sanction plays an important role in coding and guiding behaviors of moral subject.The prerequisite of moral punishment's realization is the punished people oweing free will and only moral subjects can assume moral responsibility.The strong influence of public opinion in the community makes itself the basic means of moral punishment's realization.Moral consciousness makes moral main bodies exercise their moral rights and moral objects assume their moral responsibility at the same time.So moral consciousness is the protection of moral punishment's realization.
