The effect of acupoint for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and their nursing

Objective To explore the dog days acupoint effect on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and nursing methods. Methods 256 patients who were in the department of internal medicine of our hospital with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were treated by acupoint. they were for three times acupoint application every summer,each dog days one time,and three consecutive years as a course. Their acute exacerbations,lung function and blood gas analysis indexes were compared after a period of treatment. Results After a course,the above indexes were improved significantly compared with before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion The dog days acupoint was beneficial for patients of the pulmonary function and arterial blood gas treatment who had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,and has the advantages of simple operation,economic security,so it is worth the clinical promotion.
