Abstract

A novel chemiluminescence (CL)system for the determination of Vanadium (Ⅴ) is described. It is based on that Vanadium (Ⅴ) and molybdophosphate in sulfuric acid medium could form vanadomolybdophosphoric heteropoly acid, which could oxidize luminol to produce CL emission. The linear range of calibration curve is 5×10-9~ 1×10-5g/mL and the determination limit is 1×10-9g/mL. The system has been applied to the determination of Vanadium (Ⅴ) in water samples with satisfactory results.
