Abstract

PAHs is a substance of non-environmental friendly-type which is widely distributed in soil. The paper introduces the source, distribution and harm of PAHs in soil comprehensively, and explicates the structural characteristics of carcinogenic toxicity of PAHs,the principle of bioremediation of PAHs-contamination soil and the status of microbial selection that can degrade PAHs in recent years. It lists the types of newly found microbes that can degrade PAHs and puts forward two methods of in-situ remediation and ex-situ remediation. It also promotes PAHs degradation by microbes from two aspects of soil improvement and increasing the dissolution ratio of PAHs based on the characteristic of PAHs-contaminated soil.
