Introduced the method how to apply LabWindows/CVI(a product of National Instrument,used to develop Virtual Instrument)to design a power system fault recorder.It analysed the developing characters of Virtual Instrument and discussed the configure of hardware and the programming of software,when the Virtual Instrument was used to the real time power monitoring system.
