Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Tanreqing on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease of acute exacerbation(AECOPD).Methods 84 cases diagnosed with AECOPD were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 42 cases in each group.Based on conventional treatment(low flow oxygen therapy, antibiotics and bronchodilators),Tanreqing injection was added to the observation group, while the control group were only given the conventional treatment. Both groups were treated for 10 days.Improvement of the clinical symptoms and signs of both groups was observed and their clinical effect was evaluated. In addition, analysis of their blood gas was tested and compared before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 88.10%,while that of the control group was 69.05%.Their difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Comparison of indicators on blood gas of the two groups had no statistical significance before the treatment(P0.05).However,after treatment, indicators of the blood gas of both groups improved obviously(P0.05 or 0.01),but that of the observation group improved more greatly. The indicator difference between two groups after treatment had statistical significance(P0.05).Conclusion Tanreqing injection combined with conventional treatment is more effective in improving the clinical symptoms and blood gas of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease of acute aggravation.
