A Comparison Between Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping's Social Security Idea

Abstract

What's common in the social security idea between Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping is that they both believed that it was important to develop production in terms of the relation between social security and economic construction, and that social security should be rational and proper. The difference lies in the fact that Mao Zedong over-emphasized egalitarianism while Deng Xiaoping preferred efficiency first, took fairness into account,and put forward the concrete mode of supporting the poor.
