Abstract
Deng Xiaoping's economy philosophy is an inheritance to and development of that of Mao Zedong under the new historical situation. The marrow of the philosophies of both Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping is true to facts and the application of contradiction analysis, while the difference lies in that Mao Zedong stimulated economy through revolution to stimulate while Deng Xiaoping put forward and expounded that developing the productive force is the most important task and essence of socialism, emphasizing that reform is the motive force to develop economy. He inherited and developed Mao Zedong thought in developing commodity production and making use of the law of value and established the theory about socialist market economy.
