Exploitation and Utilization of the Wild Vegetable Resource in Northeastern Guangdong Province

200 species of wild vegetables in 152 genera of 72 families were reported in Meizhou city,northeastern Guangdon province,among which,22 species of 19 families were with the flower as wild vegetable; 35 species of 19 families,with the fruit or seed as wild vegetable; 132 species of 41 families,with the young stem and leaf of herbs as wild vegetable; 28 species of 15 families,with their stem and leaf of woody as wild vegetable; 5 species,with bamboo shoot as wild vegetable and 47 species of 26 families,with the root and tubers as wild vegetable. The characteristics of wild vegetable,present condition of utilization,exploration countermeasure were analyzed and presented.
