Abstract
At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, great change had been taking place in the academic field while contradictions in society and ethnic were being intensified. In the ideological trend of combating and liquidating the old and decadent academic discipline ,many Confucianist classics came to the fore ,expounding Confucianism and criticizing Neo-Coufucianism which developed during Song and Ming Dynasties and remained on the later stage, with the aim of promoting the emergence of utilitarian philosophical works.Mencius Doctrine of Being a Teacher is one of those works, and it was made by Huang Zongxi, which represents his philosophy and becomes one of his major philosophical works .
