Abstract

ALOHA software was used to research on the incident which was caused by explosion of LPG tanker.Four consequences of flash fire, steam cloud explosions, tank fire and BLEVE explosion were calculated in the simulation, the influenced scale of each scenario was quantified. The consequence which was easily resulted in after explosion accident was analyzed.Combined with the crowd density of the influenced field, the number of people who're dead and injured was calculated. The result indicated explosion of LPG tank car was likely to cause serious consequences.Safety precautions and emergency measures after the accident during transportation should be taken to avoid an accident as far as possible, and to cut down casualties after an accident.
