Abstract

The structure and biological activity of polysaccharides from Cordypes was investigated.The polysaccharide was separated by alcohol and DEAE-celloluse and characterized with HPLC,IR,UV and GC.An acidic polysaccharide CPS2 and another polysaccharide CPS1 were obtained.The molecular weight of CPS1 and CPS2 was 2.56×104,9.91×104,respectively.The IR spectra revealed that the two polysaccharides contained α-linkage.The GC/MS indicated that the main chain of CPS1 was composed of 1,6-Man,and the branch chains was formed with 2,3,4-Glu;the main chain of CPS2 was was composed of 1,6-Glu,1,6-Man,1,6-Gal and the branch chain was formed with 1,3-Glu residue.Both of them showed protection activity to the vero cell.Two kinds of polysaccharide contained the Glc,Man and Gal in the main chain,and the obvious protection activity of the kidney cell was observed.
