Abstract
Objective To strengthen rural drinking water safety engineering evaluation and monitoring,explore the establishment of prediction system for water-borne diseases.Methods A survey and monitoring of drinking water quality in seven county or district were carried out in 2009.A questionnaire formulated by state was filled in by on-site view and investigation,telephone verification,including etc.Results 55.55% of the water source were surface water and 44.45% of them were groundwater.Direct Supply was adopted in engineering design with a larger proportion of ground water and the total water treatment were adopted with a smaller proportion.The overall qualified rate of water in whole rural drinking water safety project only taken 50%.Conclusion From the survey we know that the qualified rate of the water is very low and there are many problems in water quality and health aspects.
