Abstract
To obtain three-dimensional model of complex surfaces,a new method for CAD modeling of the automobile panels was proposed by analyzing the technique of 3D modeling based on the reverse engineering.The use of three-dimensional optical measurement system combined with the technology of digital close-range photogrammetry realized the accurate date of the point cloud,using the combine of Im-ageware and catia,after the process of point cloud processing,curve and surface reconstruction,accuracy analysis,finally got the model of complex surfaces.The results showed that using this method can build up three-dimensional models of complex surfaces rapidly and accurately.
