Vertical Specialization and Total Factor Productivity——Based on Panel Data in Industiries

Abstract

This paper uses the of panel data of Chinese industrial sector analysis the relation between the vertical specialization and TFP on 2001-2007. And the author uses the DEA-SBM model to estimate total factor productivity (TFP)index of the overall, foreign-invested enterprises and domestic enterprises,the author finds that China does not received technology spillover effects of vertical specialization,to a large extent Chinese technological upgrading depend on the production and export networks.
