Conflict between love and feudal ethics——A restricted view on the love poems in The Book of Songs

Abstract

The poems about love and marriage in The Book of Songs are very distinctive.They are the natural revelation and the expression of aspirations of young men and women.These poems either celebrate the achievement of love or express the sadness of their loss of love.At that time,the influence of feudal ethics was gradually strengthening,which can be seen from its durance of human nature when it came to marriage and love.The conflict and collision between love and feudal ethics are clearly displayed in the description about love and marriage in those poems.
