Abstract
Objective To study the effect and safty of paroxetine in the treatment of depression with physical symptoms.Methods A total of 80 depressive patients were divided into control group treated by amitriptyline and study group treated by paroxetine for 6 weeks of treatment.The effect was evaluated with HAMD and CGI and the adverse effects were evaluated with TESS.Results Scores of HAMD and CGI-SI had significant differences before and after treatment in two groups,but the difference between two groups was not found in decreased scores.Conclusion Paroxetine is effective for depression with physical symptoms.
