Abstract

A method was established for determination of inorganic selenium and total selenium in fresh eggs by sequence injection hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry. The extraction of inorganic selenium and total selenium in fresh eggs were studied.Discussed the concentration of acid medium, the concentration of potassium borohydride and ions of selenium fluorescence intensity at the same time.Under the best equipment in working condition, the standard curve correlation coefficient 0.9995,the detection limit of selenium by this method was 0.0507 μg/L,the linear range 0~200 ng/mL,the relative standard derivation 0.43% ~0.68%.By this method with the recovery rate of 93.2%~99.55% for total selenium, inorganic selenium recovery was 88.2% ~94.25%.This method is proved to be simple, rapid, sensitive accurate and repeatable. So it is suitable to the determination of inorganic and total selenium in selenium-rich food.
