Investigation on Mental Health and Personality of Workers at An Accumulator Production Line

[Objective] To study the mental health of workers at an accumulator production line and the relationships between mental health and personality.[Methods] 99 workers were tested by Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90) and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ).The results were compared with Chinese norm.[Results] The total score of SCL-90 and the scores of somatization,obsessive compulsive,anxiety,phobic anxiety,psychoticism of these workers were higher than those of the norm(P0.05).The worker' s P and N scores of EPQ were significantly lower than the norm(P0.01),but the L scores of workers were significantly higher than those of normal(P0.01).There was significant correlation between mental health and personality.The differences of the scores of SCL-90 and scores of EPQ between male and female were not significant(P0.05).[Conclusion]The mental health of the workers at accumulator production line should be paid attention to,personality significantly correlated with mental health,the personality of neuroticism were most likely to have unhealthy reaction,the psychological disorders and personality between the male and the female have no significant difference.
