Abstract

During the exile in U.S.A, members of Frankfurt School fiercely criticized the mass culture and media at that time, and started the research of mass cultural criticism. Targeting at mass media, culture and society, Frankfurt School contributed a lot to the criticism of mass media and culture, which still has positive influence on China while she is in the transformed process, and reminds Chinese of having a rational attitude to mass media and culture in the time of market economy.
