Fifty-one Cases with Acne Vulgaris of Phlegm Coagulation Pattern Treated with Supplemented Guifu Dihuang Decoction

Abstract

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Supplemented Guifu Dihuang Decoction on acne vulgaris of phlegm coagulation pattern. Methods: 102 cases with acne vulgaris of phlegm coagulation pattern were randomized into treatment group and control group,with 51 cases in each group. Treatment group were given Supplemented Guifu Dihuang Decoction and control group were gven Danggui Kushen Pill combined with Mupirocin Ointment. Results: The effective rate was 86. 27% in treatment group and54. 90% in control group; the treatment group were better than control group( P 0. 05). The TCM symptoms score in treatment group was better than that in control group( P 0. 05). The difference of the adverse reaction rate between the two groups had no statistical significance( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Supplemented Guifu Dihuang Decoction has remarkable effect on acne vulgaris of phlegm coagulation pattern.
