Abstract

Objective To analyze the relationship of peripheral blood lymphocytes immune function of the patients with gastric cancer to the new clinical pathological stage(TNM) and the histological types of the tumors. Methods Flow cytometry was used to detect the marks of lymphocytes subsets(CD3 +,CD3 + CD4 +,CD3 + CD8 +,CD19 +) and the NK cells(CD3-CD16 + 56 +) cells in blood samples from pa-tients with gastric cancer and health people. Results Lower CD3 +,CD4 + T cells,NK cells,CD19 + cells and CD4 + / CD8 + ratio were detected in blood samples from cancer group than that from health people(P 0.01).CD8 + T lymphocytes were reverse. This change was related to the TNM pathological stage, not to the histological types of the tumors. Conclusions The immune function of lymphocytes in peripheral blood of the patients with gastric cancer was low,and even worse in the lower grade of TNM stage. It is of active significance by detecting T lympho-cyte subgroup in peripheral vein in patients with cancer for estimating the function of cell immune and diagnosis.
