Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of phosphor-AKT(p-AKT) in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC). Methods The expression of p-AKT was detected by immunohistochemistry in 52 cases of NSCLC and 18 normal lung tissue. Results The positive rates of p-AKT was 53.8% in NSCLC and 0.0 in normal lung tissue(P 0.05).The expression of p-AKT was not related to age, sex, smoking, histological subtype, grade of cell differentiation, lymph node metastasis and TNM stage(P0.05). Conclusion The expression of p-AKT was higher in NSCLC than in normal tissue. The PI3K/AKT signaling pathway may participate in carcinogenesis and development of NSCLC.
