Observation on effect of Jianwei Xiaoshi Tablets combined with Western medicine in treating functional dyspepsia

Objective:To investigate the effect of Jianwei Xiaoshi Tablets combined with Western medicine in treating functional dyspepsia(FD). Methods:The 60 cases with FD in our hospital from January in 2009 to January in 2010 were divided into the observing group and the control group. The two groups received the treatment of routine Western medicine,and the observing group received the treatment of Jianwei Xiaoshi Tablets combined with Western medicine. Results:The abdominal distension,eructation,satiety and epigas-tric pain in two groups after treatment were superior to those before treatment with significant differences between the two groups(P0.05). The abdominal distension,eructation,satiety and epigastric pain in the observing group after treatment were superior to those in control group,and there were significant differences between the two groups (P0.05). The survival rate of stomach in the observing group after treatment was fewer than that in control group,and there was significant difference between the two groups (P0.05). The total effective rate was 93.33% in the observing group and 73.33% in the control group,with significant difference(P0.05).No obvious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups. Conclusion:The effect of Jianwei Xiaoshi Tablets combined with Western medicine in treating functional dyspepsia is superior to that of Western medicine without toxic and side effect,so it is worth being used widely.
