Abstract
Three-phase unbalanced voltages have great effects on the performance of an induction motor. In this paper, based on the transient model for the induction motor and the conception of the complex voltage unbalanced factor, the simulation of the starting process for the induction motor fed by unbalanced voltages was studied, the curves of the starting process were given. The starting time, the steady-state torque variation, and speed variation for different CVUF were given out. Some conclusions related to the performances of the induction motor fed by unbalanced voltages were obtained.
