Research on relationship between perineum wound infection and the light-catalyzing air disinfection in delivery room

Objective To observe the relation between the different time of the light-catalyzing air disinfection in delivery room and the perineum wound concrescence. Methods Two delivery room with air standard gradeⅡand 2914 lying-in woman who were accouched in asepsis from 2003 to 2008 were observe the infection of perineum wound. Group A finished operation ≤3h after air disinfection, group B finished operation 3h after air disinfection, contrasted the relation between operation time, the time of light catalyzing disinfection and the wound infection. Results The infection in 2914 cases with operation were 15 cases, the infection rate was 0.5%, in which group A were 2700 cases,infected 7 cases,the infection rate was 0.26%;group B were 214 cases,infected 8 cases,infection rate was 3.71%.790 cases were finished operation ≤2h after disinfection of light castalyzing, they were all not infected,but the time of disinfection finished2h operation time ≤2h in 262 cases,there were infected 5 cases,the infection rate was 2%, there were signification (P0.01). Conclusions The relation between the time of disinfection time and the operation wound were consanguineous,the longer the time after disinfection, the bigger chance of infection.
